Wildwood Pear

Joanne brought wonderful green pears from the trees in her backyard to watercolor class this morning. They were so good! Crunchy and juicy at the same time. Ten minutes to do a quick sketch, and then the poor pear was history.

Artober is also history... thanks to Diahn for coming up with the fun name and the great little graphic! It's been fun and really good practice.

So, now that NaBloPoMo is upon us we will continue every day in November. This time it isn't a commitment to draw every day, but to post every day. I think I can swing BOTH. We'll see! And do you see the cute graphic on the sidebar? It was made by Mim (Mimbles) and she very kindly offered to share with those of us who were looking for something a little different.

So... who's playing in November this year?

(P.S. I know, the header STILL isn't quite right yet. I'm working on it!)

Hi Linda, thanks for the link-love :)
Your art work is gorgeous, I might just have to hang around a bit here too!

Soulbrush, I haven't figured out the friend thing on there yet this year. I think they may have a broken button. It's really just easier to cruise around and hit the blogs you normally do! :-)

I like this pear and what you've been doing with the backgrounds on all these p-fruits. Very nice!

And thanks for all the fun in Artober - it really was a wonderful thing!

You KNOW I will be sketching and posting everyday. Gee, if I didn't you would know something is wrong :)

The colors in the pear are so pretty. Your painting is so full of character and depth. I love this one.

Thanks for alerting me to NaBloPoMo - I'd completely missed that. Is it just artists or anybody who is blogging?

I'm here because I giggled at your day-m on Laura's!

Katherine -- NaBloPoMo is for anyone who blogs! I'm just going to TRY to also include a drawing a day. TRY being the operative word...
