Black Friday

Black Friday and everybody is packed into the stores. I NEVER do the "shopping thing" on the Friday after Thanksgiving ... one of these days I may have to try it.

On the way to one of the buildings this afternoon I stopped by a music store, just to browse around for a minute, since I was feeling a little left out of the action. I picked up a book of music to goof around with and plunked around on a few pianos for a minute. Note to self: If I ever win the big jackpot lottery, a 9' concert grand goes on the wish list. Yep.

So. Who found really great bargains today?

Mother, my sister and I used to do the Black Friday thing, but so many people started copying us and it just got so crowded that we decided not to do it anymore (we think we invented the idea, 25 years ago)!

I did stop at "Tuesday Morning" for a quick look-see as I was supposed to be picking up a pizza that the people said would be done in 25 minutes. Consequently, what I got was COLDISH pizza. Those people cooked it faster than they said!

I DID I DID! 2 OTT lights and an art easel from Michaels and we're heading back for a new art table ... Like you I rarely head out on these crowded days -- sadly for our merchants, theyweren't crowded enough ...

The only thing I did yesterday was get a mammo so I got squashed! lol

You need to come see my post today since you are a piano lover.

Annie -- so YOU'RE to blame!!
:-D
Lin -- what great purchases. Are they for you? I'm a believer that one should always buy something for oneself when Christmas shopping...
Teri -- ouch! Black Friday, indeed! I'm coming over now to see the piano...

Not me. I don't like crowds very much. Besides, I'm trying to stay out of the stores until I know exactly what I need for everyone on my list...because I am one of those people who can't be trusted not to buy for themselves once they are in the store.

we don't have that on our side of the pond. at the moment all the oxford street shops are trying to lure people in to shop with huge sales (before xmas) unheard of!
