Seashell

Object Number Two. A grey sea shell with an orange interior -- perched upon a cigar box.
(Technical bit -- Staedtler ink in Moleskine. And the scan made the orange look much darker than in real life.)

Gorgeous line work on a very difficult subject! Beautiful!

It's a great combo, the hard lines of the shell with the hint of the box and that splash of color is dramatic too. 498 to go. You're on a roll ;D

Linda, this shell is beautiful. Even though the scan made the orange oranger, I love it!1

I like your goals, but I would think 500 is ambitious, but then hey you can do it! Love the shell, they are not at all easy to do. My goal is to finish my 12 months of walking and sketching and then perhaps go on from there.

Buon giorno, Linda!

Have a few moments before going home to sleep a bit. Tomorrow is Epiphany and the children get presents from the Befana.

I love all your object drawings and the shell in particular. I once painted a similar one in ink with a big Chinese brush, didn't turn out very well...

Your art goals sound really good. I just plain hope to do ANY art once we're back home!

Hugs,

Bonny

Mmmmm....so lovely. The shell seems to hold within it every glorious sunset ever seen on the beach. Spectacular!

What delightful drawings Linda! My goal is to do a drawing a day this year ... so I'll be in here often for motivation! Also want to try different styles and mediums bit by bit -- practice practice practice. I love your work. Cheers.
