The Rhodies Hit the Stage

The rhododenndron bushes outside the living room window are covered with blooms. They stand about nine feet high now, and I'm always thrilled with how well they bloom. I'm thinking of doing a large painting of them, as usual -- hopefully this year I'll get around to doing it before the blooms fade! Posted by Hello

This is beautiful (have to find a new word for your work). The shading is great and love the way you shaded the background - very subtle. Beautiful - oops I said that already.

Very nice, Linda! The values are just about perfect! Have you ever looked through a red lens to check your values? It's amazing how well this works: red glass, plastic, or any type of red filter. I think if you put a red filter over this beautiful painting, you'd find no flaws in your values. Nice work!!

What a beautiful watercolour! The rhododendrons are out here in Denmark, too - I feel inspired now. :)
