Yard Foolery

Sitting in the back yard sketching flowers. My version of yard work (at least this weekend.) Yep. And there's nothing anybody can do about it.

Meanwhile, D is busy raking and bagging leaves. HIS version of yard work.

Life is good.

STUPENDOUS, LINNIE!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT TOUCH OF PAINTERLY WASH IN EACH OF THESE!!! SO SO RICH AND GLORIOUS!!! And I wish my yardwork weren't more like your husbands! LOL

I like your version of yard work better! Love the gentle touch of color in these white flowers! Beautiful!

I haven't been here in sooo long - foolish me, all the great stuff I've missed out on. I LOVE those tulips - so clean and simple - and I certainly think your version of yard work is far superior to the other kind, and I'd be willing to bet your "gardening" will yield better results too!

Nice work! Love your flower sketches, wish I could be out drawing however our temperature soared to 96'F and I have to water! Southern Ca. has had years of drought, we did get enough rain for amazing spring flowers and lush green (rapidly turning tan)
I made a foldout sketchbook from 140 # Arches full sheet that worked well and got me back into some watercolor painting almost daily! Really enjoyed your blog!

Both drawings are gorgeous but I particularly love the dogwoods.

And yeah, you're version of yardwork is much better than raking and bagging leaves!

These are so delicately charming. I can feel spring in the air.
