Sad Pear

Our friends lost their 18 year old daughter in an automobile accident early this morning. Tonight I tried to sit and draw this pear (which found its way from a box lunch into my pocket at a business meeting this last week) but just couldn't get excited about it. I hurried through and sat with a deck of cards playing game after game of solitaire instead.

I just want to say, love your children well, folks. You never know what tomorrow may bring.

Linda,

I really like your pear. I'm sorry to hear about your friends daughter. Advice about children taken to heart.

Your pear is very beautiful and your story is very sad. How tragic for her family. It makes us all sit back and give everyone a hug.

Your painting is beautiful, and thank you for the reminder. We all need to remember how fragile life is.

Lovely pear Linda. I like the splattered (is it?) look and the writing next to it. Browns and blues is great too, lovely colours.

Sorry to hear about your friend, it's the worst thing that could happen to a parent. Love is what life is all about ultimately.

The pear is beautiful - the story of your friend's daughter tragic. I have an eighteen year old daughter. It scares me to think about how your friends must be feeling right now. :o(

So very sorry to hear that sad news. I've had a lesson in loving people here and now, as my best friend was killed in an auto accident 5 months ago. It also taught me to take time to grieve. I couldn't draw much this past summer, but I am slowly returning to it.
While your pear looks beautiful, it's understandable that you couldn't get excited drawing it. I wouldn't worry too much about it... you'll have penty of other oppurtunities to feel joy in drawing.

I know what it is like to lose someone unexpectedly (my cousin died in a plane crash last June). I really like the spots on the pear drawing BTW.
