WOWEE, LINDA! THIS IS STUNNING! Superb in its simplicity! Yes, fall is here -- winter is whispering around our necks!
Spectacular! So nice to see a little offering from LindaM! What reds are you using here? They're so rich and saturated!
Cool leaf -- neat shape and great color. I like how you put the red against the blue. Nice looking blog too!
Thank you all! Diahn, I did a bit of a light wash with new gamboge, dropped in some cad red and winsor red and a bit of brown madder. Then, after a minute or two, I blotted it with a paper towel to get a nice mottled look, and then started working the reds back onto the damp paper, adding in a bit of aliz crimson, of course and a wee bit of quinacridone gold. Sounds very planned, but it really is more schizo than anything...:-(
The contrast between the warm red and the icy blue is perfect! So nice to see some of your work again.
This is so pretty that it makes me feel better about winter coming.
What a wonderful painting!
If the rainy cold weather inspires this kind of painting, then more of it. This is beautiful. I think we had a fall day last month. Of course now it's 90 so that fall day is a vague memory.
What a beautiful leaf! Absolutely glorious colour!Ronelle
