Shadow Shot Mushrooms and Mosses

Hey! It is Shadow Shot Sunday again already.

Mushrooms and mosses and lichens in the woods in Ontario. Visit the other Shadow Shooters at Hey, Harriet! and see what they've been up to.

*Note -- yep, in the "self portrait" shadow I'm still wearing the life jacket, even though we're in the woods. We'd just pulled the boat up to the shore, and I didn't walk far in, and the life jacket just stayed on. I felt like I was crushing the growth underfoot, and couldn't imagine how long it had taken for those tiny plants to grow that thick and deep.

Gorgeous - That first is my favorite - I love how the branches of the tree fall across the mushroom - fantastic!

And you know you look darned cute in that life jacket - quit being so modest... :)

The dappled shadows on top of the mushroom are just wonderful! All lovely shots but that's my favorite. It has just the right sprinkling of light.

Thanks for your visit. :)

Such lovely, lush mosses! It looks like you guys must get a lot of rain - but I'm glad you had some sunshine for today's pictures!

I love your mushroom with shadows composition. Really lovely. I posted a red, concrete garden statue mushroom for last SSS entry!

FYI - the street in my this week's SS entry is cobblestone.

That looks like a beautiful place-so lush. I think moss is quite resistant so I am sure you didn't do it any harm! I love that first shot particularly-the criss crossing patterns on the mushroom are great!

Lovely! I like to take pictures of mushroom myself! The moss looks very soft - and welcoming the shadows!

Interesting shadows on your mushrooms and lovely mosses. Methinks I'd love to walk there because it looks so cool and inviting.

Shadow shot mushroom sounds poetic and I like the top photo best. Great paintings/drawings you make. Read about your prismacolor pen, no spots when you go over it with watercolor I see, interesting.

great shadow work in the shots too.

I love finding mushrooms in the woods...they are like little hidden gifts left behind by fairies....

well in a children's book that's how it would happen :)
