Visiting Family

...and meeting new friends! Taking loads of photos and doing some sketching, but mostly enjoying a little break. Thankfully, the mothball smell had dissipated by the time we left, so I don't dread coming back home, either. Whew!

Internet connection has been iffy ... I'm playing catch-up and keep-up as best as I can.

P.S. Dolphins really DO smile when you look them right in the face ... even the wild ones!
Yipee!!!!

Oh I wish I was there!

I realised I didn't comment on your last few posts, but the artwork and the photos have just been amazing! Great to see photos of you and Diahn and your awards are truly well deserved, I would love to have been there to see your work! What a ball you two are having!

Whee! I'm back and thank you all for the nice comments and well wishes. We took the Gulf loop, visiting Panama City Beach, then working our way west to Gulfport / Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, then back up through Alabama, and then home late last night.

Marta, we got to see the dolphin from my daughter's roommate's parents' boat (that's a mouthful...) on the Gulf side of Shell Island. Three of them came right up to the boat, just ASKING to be petted, then led us on a merry chase for quite a while!

Tami -- whatever you do, DON'T use mothballs! I thought the smell had gone down, if not away, and expected it to be totally gone when we got home. Unfortunately, it was TERRIBLE again -- even though I'd removed all that I could find under the house. There must be a stray mothball or two somewhere under there, probably IN the AC! :-( Oh well.
