As we all
gator around the Christmas tree this year, let's remember our friends on the Gulf Coast who are still struggling to rebuild from the storms they suffered this last hurricane season. And if you've ever wondered what a southern-Louisiana cajun style Christmas parade is all about, be sure to go see
Annie's pics and great commentary from her hometown parade this year. It's sure to make you smile!
Merry Christmas to Ms. Annie Oddflower and all her buds in Louisiana -- this one's for you guys!

I really like this! What a crack up.
"Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Gators nipping off your nose ..."
This gave me a laugh - and a real double-take. Lovely.
Hi Linda! Thanks for the link to my parade pictures. I still can't believe people enjoy seeing them, I thought they would come off to be boring.
Thanks also for the nod to all the Gulf Coast folks who still have so much work ahead of them in rebuilding their homes and communities.
Merry Christmas to you too, Linda. I am so glad to have made your acquaintance out here in cyber space. I love your gator underneath the Christmas tree, by the way.
This is really great.
Linda, Linda, you are on a genius roll! This is so fun and great---I think YOU should be the one teaching a class in January, not taking one! I checked out Annie's blog and I thank you for pointing me in that direction---great photos and commentary!
Your art and humor are a great pair!
A gator! I love it. Was not expecting that at all. I have to send the link to my friend in Fla!
I by the way, love that Santa, but then, scrolling further, love the tea cup, but scrolling down further I love the...well, you get the point. I like your drawings. Gator was fun. I like the unexpected.
I 'GATER YOU'RE ONE TERRIFIC ARTIST! THIS IS SUPER AND I LOVE YOUR WIT!
I went to a party a few weeks ago. We were all standing around in the yard by the canal. As I looked across to the golf course on the other side I saw an eye wink at me. I think it might have been this guy's cousin. One of the perils of living in Florida is that you have creatures that look at you as food.
This guy is soo funny and cute. Much cuter then the one that winked at me.
What fun. Love your gator!
Thank you all! I'm having such a good time being goofy right now! Annie, we all looked at your parade pics at work and everybody there got a huge laugh out of them, too. Karen -- we need to team up and do some altered Christmas carols! Nancy, Shelly, Laura, Teri, Laurie, Lin, Lisa, Joey, et cet. -- thank you all so much -- your comments make my day! Janey, you probably know gators better than any of us -- and I'd rather see mine than yours (well, I think -- mine at least LOOKS friendly.) And you notice the title of the post -- there is at least one more animal to come ... I'll calm down in a week or two, I promise!
Hey!
I'm glad to see you in such good holiday spirits - I love this one and the Santa (he is wonderful) - why bother shopping just give everyone a painting then you don't have to worry about the mall - see ya!
BS Karen
I'm glad to be part of the festivities Linda. It's been fun...don't calm down just yet...Give us more! More!
