You Better Watch Out

...You better not cry,
You better not pout,
I'm tellin' you why,
Santa Claus is comin' to town!

This is for a friend of mine who (in a moment of desperation) told her rather energetic son that certain Santa figures have radio transmitters in them which send a signal to the North Pole letting Santa know if he's been bad or good.
Now the kid apologizes to the decorations on a regular basis.

Yep, you'd better watch out folks! There are Santa Cams EVERYWHERE! Posted by Picasa

OMG, poor kid! Who knows what new neuroses will be borne out of the threat of total surveillance? Your Santa, now--he looks jolly and sweet. Very nice watercolor sketch, L!

LOL! Laura, I'm afraid that when I shortened the story it failed to sound as funny as it is! The boy actually LOVES the idea that he has a direct line to the big guy, and now freely shares confidences with him -- along with the apologies for hitting his little sister, etc., of course.
:-D

Oh Linda! Your beautiful painting of Santa Claus brought back some powerful memories... My Dad was very strict at home but truly he had a heart of gold. He played Santa Claus at various times of his life, the last time in a local mall with me dressed up to play Mrs. Claus. At the time I was only 16-17. Thise remain special memories for me. Thank you for your inspirational Santa. He's very real to me!

Let's hope he just doesn't do in public. I love your santa. The colors are so very vibrant. And the close up is great.
